Engineered Pressure Systems, Inc. (EPSI) has recently been awarded a large order for a warm isostatic press (WIP) production unit from a prestigious government funded laboratory. The company's WIP is a press with a high-pressure vessel and pressurized fluid heating to 250C. Designed for high productivity and low maintenance, the WIP is ideal for all applications requiring moderate temperature during the application of pressure. It can be customized to suit application-specific needs. The WIP is capable of operating at pressures up to 100,000 psi (approximately 700 Mpa), with control of pressurization and decompression, resulting in products of uniform density and with reduced internal stresses, cracks, strains and laminations.
