FEMS Upgrade ISO Registration

Ferro Electronic Material Systems (FEMS) has celebrated 10 years of ISO certification by earning upgraded registration to ISO-9001:2000 for its Vista, Calif., facility. The original ISO-9002 registration was attained in October 1993 at the company's Santa Barbara facility, and was transferred in January 2000 when operations moved to Vista. Underwriters Laboratory awarded the upgraded registration for the design, manufacture, testing and supply of thick film ink and low temperature co-fired tape products and organic intermediates for electronic applications. "Focusing on customer satisfaction is a key change," says Soleil Develle, ISO management representative for FEMS Vista. "Everybody in each department is involved in the quality system and contributes to meeting or exceeding customer expectations."
