The final Glassman America 2004 Show Update newsletter has been released by the show's organizers. The newsletter provides details on the Glass Manufacturing Industry Council (GMIC) best practices workshops on "Compressed Air," "Process Heating" and "Major Energy-Saving Tips," scheduled for May 18-19. It also describes the addition of Ferro and North American Refractories to the Pittsburgh Area Glass Industry Suppliers (PAGIS) group, a key organization that is supporting Glassman America 2004. Other topics discussed in the newsletter include the 75th anniversary celebration of Toledo Engineering Co., Inc. (TECO), a new Eclipse Combustion Tec burner, a flexible modular timing system from Futronic, a new device for measuring container coatings from Agr, and tunnel kilns supplied by Antonini Fosco & Figli srl for specialty shapes. Recent developments from Vesuvius are also highlighted.
