Distributed in the U.S. and Canada by Flat-Tech Systems, Inc., double side fine grinding machines from Melchiorre S.R.L. of Milan, Italy, produce precise lapping tolerances with the speed and cleanliness of traditional grinding equipment. Machine sizes range from wheel diameters of 500 to 1600 mm. Unique machine characteristics include a ball screw and pressure cell down pressure system, an in-process direct part contact sizing system, a pneumatically adjustable upper wheel "swivel" bearing and a rigid "C" frame machine base designed for close tolerance work. All machine functions are programmed, stored and monitored via a user-friendly, color monitor PLC. The machines will be exhibited at IMTS booth number B-7256.
