Franklin Industries has acquired all of the outstanding stock of H.C. Spinks Clay Co. Inc. While Spinks will operate as a subsidiary of Franklin, Franklin has emphasized that the Spinks name will be retained, and that Spinks' customers will see a seamless transition in the technical support, quality, service and sales coverage that they have come to expect. The merger of Spinks and Franklin will reinforce the strengths of both privately held companies. Spinks, a leading supplier of ball clay products headquartered in Paris, Tenn., and Franklin, a prominent producer of chemical grade limestone headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., are both known for their superior levels of quality, service and technical support. No transaction value was announced.
