MoreThe Edward Orton Jr. Ceramic Foundation recently announced the retirement of Dale Fronk, engineering manager. He served the foundation and the ceramic industry for more than 44 years. Fronk graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in ceramic engineering, and he joined Orton in 1962, holding a variety of process engineering and management positions. He was very active in the American Ceramic Society and served in several capacities, including on the board of directors.
Concurrent with his retirement, the Orton Foundation board of trustees awarded Fronk the designation of Engineering Manager Emeritus of The Edward Orton Jr. Ceramic Foundation. This is the first time that the award of Emeritus has been made by the Orton Foundation.
