Joe Phelan has been named general manager of manufacturing for GE Superabrasives. "I am very pleased to have Joe join us at Superabrasives," said Tanya Fratto, vice president and general manager. "He has demonstrated manufacturing innovation and leadership that will help us retain our strong competitive position and drive our continuing efforts in quality improvement and customer responsiveness." Phelan has an extensive background in process improvement. He joined General Electric Co. in the manufacturing management program in 1983.
