Glasstec 2000 recently closed in Dusseldorf, Germany, with successful results--1,024 exhibitors from 41 companies showcased their products to 52,000 visitors from 74 nations. The visitor figure marks and increase of 16% and exhibitor participation rose by 100 companies, compared to the final results of the show's last staging in 1998. "Glasstec has impressively confirmed its international reputation as a barometer and mirror of the glass industry," said Horst Klosterkempter, general manager of Messe Dusseldorf, the organizer of the event. The next staging of Glasstec will take place in 2002 in Dusseldorf.
