Glasstech recently introduced its external press bender (EPB-SL), which was designed to meet the increasing OEM demands for complex shapes and tighter product tolerances with the highest optical quality while improving productivity and minimizing tooling costs to reduce overall manufacturing costs. "We designed the EPB to meet customer demands for a system that, among other things, produces high-quality glass parts having accurate shape and excellent optics," said James P. Schnabel Jr., vice president of development. "Perhaps more important to many of our customers, the EPB is easily expandable, offering them a cost-effective solution to their glass bending needs that can grow with them over time."
