MoreAlmatis recently announced that as of November 28, 2006, Oscar Groomes has stepped down from his position as chief executive officer (CEO). He will assume a new role within the group as a non-executive board member, following his decision to relocate to the U.S. due to personal reasons. Hervé de Carmoy has reassumed the role of executive chairman to lead the company’s top management team and effect a smooth transition. Almatis expects to appoint a chief operating officer (COO) in early 2007 who will assume full day-to-day management responsibility for all business areas.
