Harper International and Fricke & Mallah Microwave Technology, Germany, have signed a licensing agreement to expand the marketing of microwave systems in the U.S. and Europe. Microwave processing has found increasing applications in advanced ceramics for binder removal, the drying of honeycomb ceramics, and the sintering and co-sintering of materials. Fricke & Mallah will market Harper's patented microwave rotary furnace systems in Europe, and Harper will market continuous, batch and research microwave units supplied by Fricke & Mallah throughout North America. Both companies will be exhibiting at ceramitec in Munich, Germany, September 16-20, in hall A2, booth 321.
