Harper Opens New Encapsulation Laboratory

Harper International, Lancaster, N.Y., has expanded its Technology Center with the addition of a new laboratory dedicated to microsphere and encapsulation technology from Brace GmbH. Harper will hold an open house at its Technology Center June 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to demonstrate the latest innovation in this technology, which enables a wide variety of materials to be formed into perfectly round spheres or encapsulated with a host of shell materials. Reduced manufacturing costs, a narrow particle size distribution and complete control over the release profile of encapsulated materials are the major benefits of this manufacturing technology. Post processing systems are also available for the washing, drying, screening and sorting of microspheres and microcapsules. Interested groups from industry, universities and government officials are invited to tour the new facility, discuss various applications and view a demonstration of the manufacturing process.
