MoreFerro Corp. recently announced that Richard J. Hipple has been elected to its board of directors, and he will serve on the board’s finance committee. The election increases the number of Ferro’s board members to 10. Hipple has served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Brush Engineered Materials Inc. since 2006. He joined Brush in 2001 and has held a variety of senior management positions, including president and chief operating officer. Prior to joining Brush, Hipple was president of LTV Steel Co., a business unit of LTV Corp. He received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Drexel University in 1975.
