Horiba Instruments has announced the introduction of the Camsizer, manufactured by Retsch, to the U.S. market. The Camsizer uses digital image processing to measure the particle size of free flowing powders in the range of 30 um to 30 mm. The instrument uses two matched digital cameras to ensure accurate measurement throughout the entire range and provides an analysis of particle shape in addition to that of particle size. The Camsizer can provide results in less than one minute and is supplied with an easy-to-use, yet sophisticated Windows^TM-based software package that includes real time sample imaging. The rugged construction and the availability of an on-line version makes the Camsizer ideal for industrial use.
