Horiba Instruments Inc.: Particle Size Technology

Horiba Instruments Inc. has announced the introduction of the Crystalsizer, manufactured by Retsch, to the U.S. market. The Crystalsizer uses incoherent light diffraction and is designed to measure both free flowing and cohesive dry powders over a range of 0.7 to 2500 microns. The instrument uses a high resolution LCD with individual rings that are accessed in rapid succession. Cohesive powders are dispersed using compressed air through an optional dispersion unit, and the instrument is supplied with a simple yet sophisticated WindowsTM-based software package.
