Hosokawa Micron and NanoProducts Announce Partnership

Hosokawa Micron Corp. and NanoProducts Corp. recently announced a strategic partnership and joint venture to commercialize nanotechnology and market nanoscale advanced materials and handling and production equipment. The alliance between the two companies will include shared intellectual property and joint efforts in the development, manufacture and marketing of nanoparticles, as well as nanoparticle handling, processing and manufacturing technology. The agreement provides for the construction of a pilot plant for the production and processing of nanoscale particles and powders in Japan. Additionally, the companies envision a full commercial production and processing line to be operated in Asia by a Hosokawa/NanoProducts joint venture. "Hosokawa and NanoProducts share a joint vision to commercialize nanotechnology for advanced materials applications," said Tapesh Yadav, chairman and CEO of NanoProducts. "By working together, Hosokawa and NanoProducts can offer a fully integrated nanoscale powder production, handling, post-processing and product manufacturing platform, along with related know-how, for our customers."
