ICCM-14 Issues Call for Papers

"Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry" is the theme for the 14th International Conference on Composite Materials (ICCM) to be held July 14-18, 2003, at the Hyatt Regency San Diego in San Diego, Calif. ICCM-14 is currently welcoming submissions on all aspects of composite materials. Abstracts are due September 16, 2002, and may be submitted by visiting the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' website at http://www.sme.org/iccm14. The theme of the conference addresses the need for increased cooperation between university circles and manufacturing. The scope of presentations includes carbon matrix composites, ceramic matrix composites, cost-effective implementation, emerging manufacturing technologies, environmental concerns, industrial applications, joining and repairing, machining and tooling, matrices, metal matrix composites, multifunctional composites, reliability, smart materials and structures, testing, textiles and technology transfer.
