The MK 2000 Colloid Mill(TM) from IKA(R) Works eliminates production bottlenecks caused by hard-to-mill materials such as pigments, metal oxides and ointments. The Colloid Mill is ideally suited to chemical, pharmaceutical and food processing. The conical rotor and stator of the mixing tool uses three stages of spiral-shaped teeth for fine milling. The intense shear of the Colloid Mill is so effective in milling extremely hard materials that it eliminates the need for multiple passes and expensive preprocessing, which significantly reduces manufacturing costs.
