Imerys recently acquired the kiln furniture activities of Siam Refractory Industry Co. Ltd (SRIC), Thailand. To ensure continuity, SRIC's business activities will continue unchanged with the same experienced personnel, but with new management, under the name of Imerys Kiln Furniture Thailand. This business is currently being integrated as part of RC2 (Refractories and Ceramic Concepts), the Technical Ceramics Division of Imerys. This acquisition increases the company's product portfolio, predominantly in the fine ceramics business. It also brings new technology, demonstrating a strong commitment to customer oriented product development along with the further consolidation of a global ceramics business.
