Ceramic Industry, the exclusive global voice of ceramic manufacturing, has launched a new e-mail news service to help you stay on top of the information that can help you succeed in your business. It's called CI CyberNews.

I have a love-hate relationship with e-mail. On any given day of the week, I receive at least 20 new messages. And if I’m gone for several days without checking my in-box, I know I’d better plan to spend several hours sorting through those that have piled up in my absence. And then there are all those e-mails that I “save for later” because they might be important somewhere down the line....

That’s the hate side.

But no matter how complicated electronic communication has made a day in the office, it still provides wonderful benefits. For instance, how else could I communicate with ceramic professionals from Turkey, Israel and Japan all in the same day without running up an outrageous phone bill? And what could be easier than working back and forth with an author on the same document, making and incorporating dozens of changes without once printing out a single sheet of paper or waiting for a fax?

But what I like best about e-mail is the access to information that it affords. By simply signing up to a few news services online, I can have regular updates on what’s going on around the world delivered right to my computer. Instant access to the latest information that helps me do my job better—who can argue with that?

That’s why Ceramic Industry, the exclusive global voice of ceramic manufacturing, has launched a new e-mail news service to help you stay on top of the information that can help you succeed in your business. Called CI CyberNews, this new service is delivered weekly to subscribers’ e-mail inboxes, keeping you informed of the latest in company news, personnel announcements, new products and equipment information. Subscribers who provided their e-mail addresses on their subscription cards are automatically receiving this new e-mail news service. Others can join on our website at www.ceramicindustry.com.

Once a month, you look to Ceramic Industry’s print publication for practical, real-world solutions to manufacturing problems; for manufacturing issues, trends and news; and for the latest technology advancements. Our commitment to providing this information will continue. Many of you check our website regularly for this information, and we are constantly improving our website so that this information is easier to find. With CI CyberNews, we’re going one step further, bringing vital information to you each week so that you don’t have to go looking for it.

Like it or not, e-mail is changing the way we work and play. Through CI CyberNews, we are renewing our dedication to you, our readers. As our industry changes, so do we. Together, we are embracing this new era of electronic communication, and we will continue to keep you informed—in print, on our website, and now through e-mail—of the industry events that affect you and your business.
