Using only factory compressed air, ITW Vortec's Vortex tubes generate temperatures down to -30F for spot cooling in a wide variety of industrial applications, equipment and processes. The tubes separate compressed air into hot and cold air streams, lowering the supplied air temperature by as much as 100F and delivering refrigeration up to 6000 btuh. A control valve at one end of the tube controls the temperature and low-pressure airflow.
