Oneida Ltd. recently announced that its board of directors has appointed James E. Joseph chief executive officer. Joseph, a 19-year veteran of the company, will also continue to serve as president, a position he has held since June 2006. He was previously head of worldwide sales and marketing for the company.

“Jim is an outstanding leader who embodies the best of Oneida’s values,” said Norman S. Matthews, chairman of the Oneida board. “He has played an integral role in the company’s transformation, and we are very pleased to announce his appointment as CEO.”

“While I am gratified by today’s announcement, the more important news is that Oneida’s business is healthy and growing,” said Joseph. “Our strategy is on course, and we are looking ahead with confidence, with great products, an outstanding brand, world-class operations and, most of all, exceptional people. It is my privilege to work with the people of Oneida, who carry the company’s traditions of innovation, excellence and superior service into its second century.”
