The American Museum of Ceramic Art (AMOCA) in Pomona, Calif., is hosting a Children's Day on Saturday, November 6. Children will enjoy a fun craft activity in which they create their own clay alcancía (head bank) while learning about Mexican folk ceramics. The day's events will also include a children's mariachi performance and storytelling sessions with Angela Lloyd, a renowned performer of folktales in the oral tradition.
Children's Day is free and open to the public from 1 to 4 p.m. For more information, visit the AMOCA website at www.ceramicmuseum.org.
