KaMin LLC, formerly the Kaolin Business Unit of J.M. Huber Corp., recently announced that, due to soaring inland and ocean freight rates combined with escalating fuel surcharges, price increases will be implemented on all export-delivered kaolin clay pricing to industrial specialties markets effective July 1, 2008. “We have continued to absorb the punishing effects of general rate increases and fuel surcharges implemented by ocean, truck and rail providers,” said Tom Anderskow, vice president of Sales and Marketing. “These price increases are necessary to allow KaMin LLC to provide the superior service our international customers have come to expect.”
