In a multiple-stack furnace, the material being heated is separated into smaller stacks with heating elements that pass between the stacks. Consequently, very precise temperature uniformity that previously was only possible with small precision-heating, laboratory-sized furnaces can be achieved within a larger-sized furnace.
Multi-stack furnaces have been built with capacities as little as 2 cu ft and as large as 60 cu ft. In addition, the furnace may be heated and insulated with the most suitable choice of heating element and thermal insulation based on the required temperatures. The multi-stack furnace is ideal for processing advanced and electronic ceramic components or nanomaterials, where higher-volume production with the accuracy of laboratory-scale processing is desired.
