Kentuckians Take Pride in Pottery History

Lexington's Central Library Gallery will host a regional pottery exhibit through January 22.

A new art exhibit at the Central Library Gallery in Lexington, Ky., explores the history of three regional potteries. "Early 20th Century Art Pottery of Madison and Fayette Counties" includes more than 200 pieces of art pottery made from 1920 to 1945. The library chose to host the exhibit in order to educate the community about Kentucky's rich pottery tradition.

The exhibit will be open daily through January 22. Admission is free. For more information about the Central Library Gallery, visit www.lexpublib.org.
