Keramischer OFENBAU GmbH recently finalized a contract for the delivery a 3.2-m-wide tunnel kiln to a Turkish sanitaryware producer. This sale, which was achieved due to the company's innovative concepts and proven performance, strengthens Keramishcer’s position as an important kiln supplier for the sanitary industry. The kiln, which is 100 m long with a 3 m setting width, was designed for a capacity of 1 million big pieces per year. Since the customer's factory is located in an area of increased earthquake risk, the refractory lining of the kiln will be made of ceramic fibre. Other customers, in France and Portugal, for example, have purchased sanitary tunnel kilns equipped with linings of lightweight refractory brick because of the positive technical properties.
