Bayerische Dachziegelwerke Bogen GmbH recently ordered a modern, 95-m-long turnkey tunnel kiln system from Keramischer OFENBAU GmbH for the production of roof tiles with a high percentage of glazed and engobed surfaces. The new kiln offers innovative atmosphere control, and the extremely light SiSiC car superstructure significantly lowers energy costs. The system includes a pre-dryer and tunnel kiln, 82 kiln cars with light SiSiC superstructure, a kiln car transport system, a control system with product tracking, and turnkey construction of the complete plant. The transit time is 14 hours cold to cold.
