The new LV-H42 digital laser sensor from Keyence Corp. of America is a definitive, reflective area detection sensor for use where the detection area is too large to use a small spot sensor or where the use of a series of fiber sensors is unnecessarily complex. The sensor produces a clear, linear spot beam through the use of a proprietary lens system that converges the laser element output to minimize beam expansion. A rear panel, received light level, bar LED display is standard on every LV-H42 sensor head. Each sensor head averages half the size of conventional sensor heads. Slit width attachments are included that clip onto the front of the unit to provide varying beam spot widths.
