KMT Waterjet Systems recently introduced its E-Series, a lower-priced, high-pressure waterjet system available in a slimmed down package. This system includes the essential options of the full-featured PLUS-Series without compromising on performance. The E-Series pump has many benefits, including lower cost and easier maintenance to deliver fast cutting and increased production. The E-Series pump was specifically designed to be less expensive, while remaining efficient, open and functional. The pump is designed to continuously produce pressure of 52,000 psi to enable faster cutting over lower pressure systems. The pump also allows greater productivity through longer production runs, which is made possible by the large, slow-stroking high-pressure plunger. Hydraulic power is used to slow the plunger stroke rates and extend seal life at higher pressures.
