Kopp Glass, Inc. recently announced that Sandra Larson, Ph.D., has joined the company's research and engineering department in the position of glass scientist. Larson will concentrate her efforts on glass formulation and manufacturing techniques. She will work to meet the specific needs of the company's customers as well as design new glass to add to Kopp's product offering. She comes to Kopp from Pittsburgh Corning Corp., where she held the positions of systems testing and analysis supervisor and research scientist. Larson holds a doctorate in glass science from the Clausthal Technical University in Clausthal, Germany, and was also a research scientist at Alfred University.
