KUKA Robotics Announces Merger With KDL

KUKA(TM) Robotics Corp. recently announced its merger with KUKA Development Labs (KDL). The merger is a consolidation of the company's engineering resources and will give KUKA the ability to provide more efficient and timely support for automation projects in North America. "As we continue our growth in the North American market, it is key to create and maintain a cohesive engineering and development team that will be focused and trained to meet the needs of the North American customer," said Leroy Rodgers, president of KUKA Robotics. "This merger demonstrates KUKA's commitment to this growth by locating advanced development capabilities close to the North American customer." The merged companies will operate under the KUKA Robotics Corp. name. Engineering operations will be led by Fred Robinson, vice president of KUKA Robotics and former head of KDL.
