Alexander A. Oscilowski, senior vice president of Kulicke & Soffa Industries (K&S) has been elevated to the position of president, with responsibility for managing the company's global operations. This is a newly created position, reporting to C. Scott Kulicke, K&S chairman and chief executive officer. "K&S has evolved from a wire bonder manufacturer to a leading provider of products, services and technologies for interconnecting and testing semiconductors," Kulicke said. "Alex Oscilowski has been instrumental in driving our transition into that space, and he will continue to shape the company into a completely integrated organization that provides market-focused, customer-driven solutions. I will continue in my role as 'chief strategist,' focusing on the future direction of the company." Oscilowski joined K&S in June 1999 as vice president of strategic marketing and was promoted to senior vice president in May 2000.
