In the first stage of updating its pressing technology, Haicheng Houying Group recently ordered five HPF IV 2000 presses from LAEIS GmbH. "If you change your process, you better do it with a partner that is competent and able to help you; therefore, we choose LAEIS," said a company spokesperson. LAEIS recently had its most successful year ever in the Chinese refractory market. A total of 15 presses will be delivered in 2006 and 2007 to China, and additional projects are under negotiation. The level of activity in the region is due to the increasing investment of foreign refractory manufacturers in China, as well as a trend in updating the manufacturing process from manual-operated friction presses to automated hydraulic solutions.
