Lightnin Division of SPX Acquires Premier Mill

Premier Mill Corp. was recently acquired by the Lightnin division of SPX Corp.

Premier Mill Corp. was acquired by the Lightnin division of SPX Corp. on March 7, 2001. Premier Mill is an important part of Lightnin¿s overall growth strategy and will be instrumental in expanding the company¿s collective sales and market share in the worldwide chemical, paint, ink and coatings markets. The acquisition extends Lightnin¿s product and technology base beyond its historical and traditional industrial fluid applications base.

Lightnin is a unit of SPX Corp., which enjoyed 2000 sales of $2.7 billion. SPX is a global provider of technical products and systems, industrial products and services, service solutions and vehicle components. Lightnin is the world leader in the manufacture of industrial fluid mixers. Headquartered in Rochester, N.Y., the company has a worldwide network of distributors, licensees and representatives, with affiliated companies in the UK, Australia, China and Singapore.
