The SPR-04, a new CCD-based single point sensor, is now available from LMI Selcom. The sensor was designed for tight and demanding industrial measurement applications requiring high accuracy and a high frequency rate for measuring distance; thickness; or material deformation, positioning and profiling. Ideal for applications in most industries, the SPR-04 uses optical triangulation principles to deliver resolution of better than .001 in. (0.254 mm) at rates up to 1200 measurements per second. The unit's small size and short measuring range of 2 to 8 in. (50 to 200 mm) allows for tight and exact industrial measurement applications without sacrificing quality.
