MoreMagneco/Metrel, Inc., has opened a new production facility in Tianjin, China, for its nanoparticulate refractory technology serving the glass, aluminum, copper, ceramic, iron and steel industries. "This new, state-of-the-art plant will allow us to meet the burgeoning demand for our Sol-Gel product line in South Korea, Taiwan and China," said Charles Connors, Sr., president of Magneco/Metrel. "As manufacturing continues to grow in these countries, the capability to supply materials in a timely manner will be key to our success in the region."
The 40,000-square-foot (12,192-meter) plant has a production capacity of 2000 tons per month of high performance refractory for use in industrial furnace construction and repair.
