Marketing Genius: Hartstone Pottery's Innovative Trade-In Promotion

I recently ran across a blog from Hartstone Pottery ( promoting its “Trade Your China!” event this month. Sadly, I missed it, but the lucky folks who attended could bring their “made in China” pieces to Hartstone and receive a 25% discount when they traded that item for a matching Hartstone shape.

This is pure marketing genius. You get people to come to your shop. You show them the benefits of U.S.- vs. China-made ware. You give them a discount. You build life-long customer relationships. It’s absolutely brilliant!

I hope the event worked out well for Hartstone. Has anyone else tried anything similar? What results did you see?

Thanks for sharing the information on this great promotional idea. The folks at Hartstone do an exceptional job of turning out innovative, hand crafted pottery. We all need to support national gems like Hartstone whenever we can.

I would like to propose not to hold off until you earn big sum of money to order goods! You should get the mortgage loans or short term loan and feel comfortable
