The Distribution Education and Research Foundation (DREF) recently named J. Michael Marks, managing partner of Indian River Consulting Group, Melbourne, Fla., a DREF bellow. Marks, the second person so designated by the research arm of the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW), will serve a four-year term. The DREF board of directors in 1999 established the fellows program to acknowledge individuals who have made and can continue to make significant intellectual contributions to the field of wholesale distribution. As its inaugural fellow, the board tapped Adam J. Fein, Ph.D., president of Pembroke Consulting, Philadelphia. During a term, DREF fellows work with the foundation to develop and bring new research studies to the wholesale distribution industry.
