Mettler Toledo's XS balance was recently honored by "R&D Magazine" as one of the 100 Most Technologically Significant New Products & Processes of the Year for 2003. "We knew that end users were looking for a balance to provide secure compliance in a regulated environment," said Ian Ciesniewski, North American technical director. "Winning this award validates our innovative approach to providing customer solutions. This is a proud moment for all of us at Mettler Toledo." The XS balance was engineered to better provide end users with notable advantages, including increased speed with the slotted weigh pan. The technology removes buoyancy effects caused by temperature differences that lead to air currents, so the air flows easily through the weigh pan without lifting the pan.
