Micromeritics To Showcase New Particle Size Analyzer At Pittcon 2005

Micromeritics will showcase several products and the new Micromeritics Analytical Services in booth 1876 at Pittcon 2005, to be held February 27-March 4 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The new Elzone(R) II 5390 particle size analyzer uses the electrical sensing zone method to size samples without regard to optical properties, densities, colors and shapes. The Elzone quickly and accurately determines the size, number, concentration, and mass of a wide variety of organic and inorganic materials. Automated features include start-up, run and shut-down routines; blockage detection and clearing; flushing/rinsing; and calibration. Micromeritics will also highlight Micromeritics Analytical Services (MAS), a contract laboratory specializing in the physical characterization of fine particles. Characterization services include particle size distribution, B.E.T. surface area, pore size/volume distribution, density, microscopy (optical, SEM, TEM), micropore volume, chemisorption, TPD/TPR, surface roughness, FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), method development, and much more.
