Microtrac Inc. recently announced the release of Bluewave, its next generation laser diffraction technology-based particle size analyzer. Bluewave uses newly available, cutting-edge blue laser diodes that offer significantly better resolution, accuracy and repeatability than existing offerings. Applying Mie theory for measuring spherical particles and modified Mie theory for measuring non-spherical particles, Bluewave can provide extremely high accuracy and repeatability, especially in the sub-micron range. Bluewave is supported by the powerful and user friendly Flex software, and it can be operated with Turbotrac in dry mode or Sample Delivery Controller (SDC) in wet mode.
