OM Group, Inc. (OMG) recently announced the appointment of Thomas R. Miklich as chief financial officer. He succeeds James M. Materna, who will retire in June after 10 years in that position. "Jim Materna has served this company extremely well for the last decade," said James P. Mooney, chairman and CEO. "He was instrumental in growing the business and increasing shareholder value during his tenure. His contributions to OMG have been extensive and are appreciated by all of us." Miklich has been a member of OMG's board of directors since its initial public offering in 1993. Former chief financial officer of The Sherwin-Williams Co., Miklich was most recently chief financial officer, general counsel and corporate secretary of Invacare Corp., a leading manufacturer and distributor of home medical equipment products.
