Eads explains why the greatest risk for arc flash is from stored energy on the low-voltage (480V) side. Several different strategies are suggested for safely working with exposed 480V panels, along with detailed descriptions of required personal protective equipment for thermogrophers. An alternative for thermograpy with the doors closed is illustrated using Mikron's SpyGlass fisheye lens and Viewports.
