NEW AIR QUALITY BOOTH FROM FARR APC PROTECTS WORKERS
A new Gold Series® Booth (GSB) from Farr Air Pollution Control (APC) provides a convenient, manufacturing-friendly system for protecting workers from dusty environments. The new GSB encloses the work environment on three sides and creates a cross draft in the work area, pulling the dust away from the breathing zone and providing high-efficiency removal of nuisance dust, fumes and other particulates. The booth encloses and isolates areas associated with industrial "dirty work" and may eliminate the need for respirators, making it ideal for the production of castings or other parts subjected to grinding, sanding, abrasive blasting, welding, powder painting and similar operations.

GE'S VAPORSTAR IMC EVAPORATION BOATS OFFER LONGER LIFE
GE's Advanced Materials' Quartz business has developed a new grade in its Metallist™ line of intermetallic composite (IMC) evaporation boats that provides up to 65% longer life than competitive boats. The superior properties of GE's VaporStar™ IMC evaporation boats can give manufacturers critical advantages including higher-quality end products, higher productivity, faster cycle times and greater value. "VaporStar IMC boats represent a true breakthrough in material science," said Greg Strosaker, GE product manager, Ceramic Powders and Shapes. "First, by providing both high corrosion resistance and high wettability, our new VaporStar grade resolves the traditional dilemma of choosing between these two properties. Second, longer boat life means fewer changeovers and more production time. Finally, the boats' ease of use and higher operating stability deliver the potential for improving metallizing quality and yields. We believe these performance advantages will help customers become more competitive."

KASON OFFERS LOW PROFILE CENTRIFUGAL BAG DUMP SCREENER
Kason Corp.'s new low profile Centri-Sifter® centrifugal screener with integral bag dump station removes oversize contaminants and de-lumps manually dumped bulk materials. Configured for installation on a mezzanine, the system gravity-discharges into process equipment, and affords a sufficiently low deck height for operators to dump sacks and other containers. Centrifugal action created by rotating helical paddles accelerates the rate at which on-size particles pass through a horizontal screen cylinder while de-lumping soft agglomerates. Oversize material is propelled through the downstream end of the screen cylinder to a discharge spout.
