Nabertherm: Top-Hat High-Temperature Furnace

The sintering of alumina, which is used in more than 85% of all ceramics, most often occurs in oxidizing atmospheres. The new Nabertherm top-hat high-temperature furnace -- Supertherm® HT 24/16 LTS -- provides manufacturers of oxide ceramics an improved economic alternative when sintering at temperatures up to 1500°C. This advanced technology is achieved using an exclusive atmosphere system for firing these products. Features include a compact, high quality bell furnace, a state-of-the-art program controller for precise temperature control, short firing cycles, and high quality fiber insulation and heating elements for long service life. A fully automatic atmosphere system introduces oxygen for silicate processing, and special lightweight refractory bricks and microporous insulation mean low energy consumption as well as low exterior surface temperatures.
