National Element, Inc. recently developed the Firebar(R), an element that can convert fuel-fired furnaces to electric. With Firebar, conversion is easily accomplished by inserting the round heating element into the old radiant tube without any other alteration to the furnace. Firebar represents a breakthrough in energy savings, economy of operation, and longevity of equipment. The new element is capable of providing 85 BTUs of energy per square inch of pipe surface while sustaining temperatures as high as 1850F.
