Netzsch Acquires Holometrix Micromet

The NETZSCH Group recently announced its acquisition of Holometrix Micromet from Metrisa, Inc. Holometrix Micromet will be merged with NETZSCH's worldwide Thermal Analysis business. The new U.S. company, NETZSCH Instruments, Inc., is headquartered in Boston, Mass., and is a member of the Analyzing and Testing business unit of the NETZSCH Group, located in Selb/Bavaria, Germany. NETZSCH Instruments will offer a broad range of products and testing services for thermal analysis and thermophysical characterization through its extensive U.S. and worldwide sales and service network. "The effects of synergies between NETZSCH and Holometrix Micromet are expected to be extremely high, particularly in the United States," said Dr. Wolf-Dieter Emmerich, a member of the board of directors of NETZSCH Holdings and CEO and president of NETZSCH Instruments, Inc.
