New Directors Elected at Ferro (posted 12/21/09)

Richard C. Brown, Gregory E. Hyland and Ronald P. Vargo have been elected as directors of the company, effective immediately.

Ferro Corp. recently announced that its board of directors has taken action to increase the number of directors to 13. Subsequently, Richard C. Brown, Gregory E. Hyland and Ronald P. Vargo were elected as directors of the company, effective immediately.

Brown currently serves as the CEO of Performance Fibers, a global leader in high-performance industrial fibers and related materials. Prior to joining Performance Fibers, he was vice president and president of the Performance Chemicals Business of W.R. Grace & Co. Brown also previously served as the president and global business unit leader of GE Advanced Materials and Silicones.

Hyland currently serves as chairman, president and CEO of Mueller Water Products, Inc. He previously served as chairman, president and CEO of Walter Industries, Inc.; president of U.S. Fleet Management Solutions of Ryder System, Inc.; and executive vice president of U.S. Fleet Management Solutions of Ryder.

Vargo most recently served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and served as a member of EDS’ executive committee. Before joining EDS, he served as corporate treasurer and vice president of Investor Relations at TRW Inc., now part of Northrop Grumman.
