New England Section Announces Meeting In September

The New England Section of the American Ceramic Society will hold a section meeting September 15, 2005, at the Higgins Armory in Worcester, Mass. Partly sponsored by Saint-Gobain High-Performance Materials, the meeting's theme will be "Armor, Ancient and Medieval to Modern." James W. McCauley, Ph.D., of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory will give a presentation titled "Towards Designing Ceramics for Armor Applications." The meeting will also feature a tour of the Higgins Armory, the only museum in the Western Hemisphere entirely devoted to the study and display of arms and armor.
